It’s amazing how so much can change in a day. This morning, my life was normal. I went to work, came home, had dinner with my grandma, and relaxed in front of the TV until bedtime.
Just as I was getting into bed, I remembered that I needed to let my drug-dealing neighbor’s dogs out for a potty break before bed.
Not bothering to change out of my matching pink silk pajama set, I went over, let the dogs out, and tried not to freeze in my fuzzy slippers.
Fifteen minutes later, I’m crawling out of my neighbor’s second story window (don’t ask) and confronting my fear of heights in a very unwelcome way when two strangers with flashlights and guns show up, demanding that I freeze and put my hands in the air.
They’re either drug dealers or the police, but either way, things are not looking good for me.
Just My Luck is a dual POV sweet romantic comedy with plenty of laughs, some swoon-worthy moments, and no explicit scenes or language. You can laugh, cry, and fall in love with these characters without worrying that you may have to put the book down before finishing it.
