Early Prime Day Deals
I couldn’t sleep this morning so I figured I’d get a jumpstart on looking through deals for today and low and behold some of my favorite things were on sale. Hooray! I’m actually tempted to buy some of these items again just because I love and use them so much, but I’ll have to consult my monthly budget first.
They have deals on clothing for you, your husband, even your kids, for close to or under $10. My favorite carpet and upholstery cleaner is on sale, and there are even some fantastic kids books on sale (the ones my kids beg to read every night).
I’ve organized this by category, but let’s start with a few of my top favorites first.
Top Favorites On Sale
KitchenAid Silicone Oven Mitts - These thing are amazing! So much better than any other pair of oven mitts I’ve ever tried. My favorite thing about them is that they’re semi-water proof (thank you silicone) so if you happen to have a bit of water on the counter (hello children, I’m talking about you) and you happen to set these in them (because that always happens) they will still protect your fingers from getting burned when you pull dinner out of the oven. I’ve been literally burned several times in this scenario by my fabric oven mitts but never once with these silicone ones. Plus, if you get some food on them, you can rinse them off in the sink and continue using them right away so they stay a lot cleaner than fabric oven mitts. If you want to check these out, they’re on sale today!
Goodnight Moon - This is one of my all-time favorite children’s books.
Silk Pillowcases - Silk is so great for your hair and skin. It doesn’t absorb moisture like other fabrics so it won’t dry out your skin and hair while you sleep. It’s super soft and it has a cooling effect that most other fabrics don’t. Now, I can’t afford true silk sheets (and the satin ones are NOT what you want to buy instead), but silk pillowcases are much more within my budget, and especially when they come on sale.
Cooling Blanket (Sponsored) - I was just introduced to cooling blankets this spring and I was skeptical at first, but we love our cooling blanket, especially during these warm summer months. Cooling blankets are cool when you put them on, so they’re perfect when you want to be under a blanket but it’s 90 degrees outside. I personally love having a blanket over my legs when I’m relaxing on the couch and this has been such a useful thing for us to have around the house.
Household Items On Sale
KitchenAid Silicone Oven Mitts - I discussed why I love these in my Top Favorites On Sale section, but I’ll just reiterate that these are so much better than fabric oven mitts.
Bissell Little Green Mini Portable Carpet and Upholstery Deep Cleaner - I don’t have this yet, but I dream of the day when I can deep clean my couches, stairs, and car rugs without having to lug around a giant carpet cleaner. Plus, with how many spills my kids make on our rug, I’d love to have some portable like this to do spot cleaning whenever we need it. Once life settles down for us I’ll be getting this ASAP.
KitchenAid 4-Pack Kitchen Towels - My kitchen towels are used and abused by all the spills my kids make so we get new ones about every year. I don’t go for the most pretty or decorative ones, but the most functional and absorbent towels.
CAROTE Ceramic Pots and Pans Set - I love my ceramic pans as they’re so much better at being nonstick than any other pan out there. Sometimes I forget to add any oil or butter when I’m cooking and although the food “sticks” while I’m cooking, it washes off so easily. This set is cool because it has removable handles which make stacking them in the cupboards so much easier (and saves space).
Christmas Storage Bag - This 7.5 ft Christmas tree storage bag is not only great for the tree, but all of your other Christmas decorations. The thing I love about these colored storage bags is that they’re colored for the holiday so you don’t have to label or guess what’s in them. I have a bright orange one for Halloween and it’s so easy to find amongst our holiday storage that I can pick it out from across the garage. No more digging through boxes looking for all the boxes, with these color coordinated storage bags you know right where your Christmas decor is amongst the other boxes. And you know these aren’t going on sale around Christmas time so now is the time to get them.
Handheld Cordless Vacuum - Great for quick clean ups (think Goldfish crumbs on the couch) and getting in tight spots like in your car. This one is 25000Pa but there is another one that is cheaper for 10000Pa. They’re made by the same company and work similarly, just different power.
Clothing Sales
Nike Cosmic Runner Running Shoes - If your kids need new shoes for the upcoming school year, check out this deal and see what you think. Nice shoes that won’t immediately fall apart are hard to find (especially on a budget) so taking advantage of a sale like this is essential for clothing your kids throughout the year.
Women’s Casual t-shirt - If you’re looking for a simple tee with full shoulder and chest coverage, this is a great one to buy while it’s on sale.
Men’s Lucky Brand Button Notch Shirt - This shirt is on an incredible sale in the navy color. It seems like navy color is universally liked and usually those types of colors don’t go on sale very often.
Messi Graphic Tees for Boys - Now is a great time to do some back to school shopping with your son, then keep the new clothes safe until August and pull them out just in time for school.
Art/Craft/Toy Sales
Acrylic Paint Markers (Sponsored) - These are such a fun marker/paint set without the mess of actually getting paints out. I sometimes buy these are birthday presents for my kids to give to their friends as well, and when they’re under $10 I stock up.
Glitter Paint Pens (Sponsored) - These are so much fun to use on crafts, a favorite for rock painting, and for any other project you have to do with your kids throughout the school year. Again, I love that these are sort of like painting without the mess of actually painting.
Mermaid DIY Headbands - These make great birthday presents for young girls, so if you’ve got a young girl and you know she’s going to be going to friend parties in the next year, stock up on these now.
Paint By Sticker Kids - These go on sale quite often, but if you’ve got a vacation coming up now is a great time to buy a few for your kids to do while traveling. They’re a great quiet activity and pack so easily in a backpack. You can take them on airplanes, trains, and car rides for something your kids can do while they’re stuck in one spot. You can check out all of the Paint By Sticker Kids books here.
Spidey and His Amazing Friends Bubble Toy - We don’t have this toy, but based on how much it’s selling right now it seems like it’ll be a great toy for little boys to play with this summer. Another great gift to stock up on and give out to friends for their birthdays.
LCD 8.5” tablet - These are such a great toy for 1-10 year olds (and possibly older). I like the 10” tablets better myself but the 8.5” is on sale right now. I know there are multipacks out there for this same price, but I’ve never had good luck with those ones. They’re so cheap that they break almost immediately whereas these single pack ones seem to last a long time and are better quality.
Shrink Magic Craft Kit - Another fun craft to try with the kids or give out as birthday presents.
High Capacity Pencil Case - With multiple pockets and sturdy zippers, this is a great pencil/marker case to keep your kids drawing things organized and ready for on the go day trips.
Magnetic Jigsaw Puzzle - I am a huge fan of these! My 3 year old is low key obsessed with puzzles and these magnetic ones are so great for her to take with us on the road or even just to the doctors office. It keeps all the pieces together no matter how she holds the puzzle (sideways, upside down, half falling out of her hands) and they’re so fun for kids to work on.
Games On Sale
Tower Stack - This deal is already 83% claimed so if you’ve been looking for this to go on sale, don’t hesitate. This is a fun new family game night game that even younger kids can play. It’s pretty simple, stack the blocks and don’t let the tower come down on your turn. The catch? You’re building on a curved base so balancing weight is a must.
That’s Not A Hat - A fun bluffing and memory card game.
Eye Found It! Disney Card Game - recommended for ages 3-8, this is a fun family card game if you’ve got younger kids.
Color Stack Challenge - I’m seeing this game pop up all over the place and it’s only 20% off but the sale is already almost 50% claimed. It’s a 2 player game where you race to get your stacks untangled first. A great way to pass the time during summer and easy enough that your kids could pay it without you.
ThinkFun Cat Crimes Brain Game - This game is recommended for ages 8+ as it helps them learn logical and critical thinking skills as they work to solve puzzles/mysteries.
Book Sales
Goodnight Moon - This is one of my favorite bedtime stories to read to my little ones. It’s such a simple idea, saying goodnight to your room, but written in a way that makes it enjoyable to read for parents and kids! Stock up on these for baby shower gifts, or just get it for your family. You’ll love reading it every night.
Disney Princess 5-Minute Stories - This isn’t my personal favorite but my daughters absolutely love reading these stories so this book has gotten tons of use in our house. I’m talking cover-coming-off-in-places-because-we-use-it-so-much. If you’ve got a little girl in your house, this is a great book to give them for their birthday or Christmas (or you can stock up and give it out as gifts to her friends as well).
How to Catch Books - These books are so fun and there are 40 in the series so you’re sure to find at least one that your kids will love. Some of our favorites are How to Catch a Unicorn, How to Catch a Leprechaun, and How to Catch A Yeti.
The Wingfeather Saga Box Set - Follow 3 siblings as they fight against evil forces trying to destroy their land. Recommended for ages 8+ and grades 3-7.
