2025 Favorite Books (Recommended by Readers Like You)

There are so many great books to read yet there's not enough time to read them all. I asked my friends on TikTok and Instagram what their favorite reads of 2025 were to compile a list of favorites from readers like you. If you're looking for a good book to pick up, check out one of these highly recommended novels.

Never With You by Kortney Keisel - This is the first book in Keisel's Always Say Never series. Carly and Nate work for the same travel agency and often end up being assigned to the same customers. Despite the fact that they don't like each other, they manage to get along for their clients. Mostly. Nate seems to steal Carly's thunder a lot, and Carly thinks Nate is always undermining her to make her look bad. When they're both assigned to a big company retreat for Nate's dad's company, they're forced to work together, even to the point of fake dating, to prove to everyone that they have what it takes. (This one was alright in my opinion, but I personally loved Never The Bride even better).

One reader recommended all of Kate Watson's books. I've never read any of her novels so I'll be picking up a few of these this year to expand my library of amazing romance authors. She's an Amazon Top 50 Bestselling Author of closed-door romance novels so her books should be safe to read. If you find one that you absolutely love, let me know!

Class Clown by Aspen Hadley - This one came with glowing recommendations and it's a less well-known author so I'm excited to read it. Readers say this is truly a laugh out loud rom com and it's book 4 of a series so if you love it, you'll have plenty more books to keep you entertained until Spring.

Spies Don't Fall For Their Assets by Meg Easton - This was recommended by a reader and I completely agree! This book is fast-paced, funny, and so enjoyable. It's an easy read that you can put down and pick up throughout the day when you get those spare moments to yourself and you'll be smiling the entire time you read it.

Walking on Hidden Wings by Rachel Scott McDaniel - This is a mystery/sleuthing novel set in the roaring twenties. I haven't read it, but just from reading the blurb I think this is one I pick up very soon (probably right after I read Class Clown. This follows a woman whose husband goes down in a plane crash soon after their marriage and she turns out to be one of the biggest suspects in the case. Determined to prove her innocence, she sets out to find the real murderer. It sounds like it's a perfect blend of mystery, romance, and a strong female lead. Can't wait to read this one.

Timeless Series by Gabrielle Meyer - These are historical romance novels and there are seven books in the series. I haven't read these yet but they come highly recommended and sound very intriguing. It looks like each book follows a woman who time travels between two points in history--when she falls asleep in one era, she wakes up in another. But at some point (her 21st birthday in the first book) she'll have to choose which era to stay and live out her life in. On the one hand, the love of her life lives in Colonial Williamsburg, on the other hand her passion is fighting for women's suffrage in New York City, 1914.

The Summer of Yes by Courtney Walsh - I've seen so many people rave about this book over the past year but haven't found time to actually read it myself. It's a story of two women who end up in the same hospital room and decide they're going to seize the moments they have left in life. The blurb gives of "The Bucket List" vibes, only instead of two men doing crazy things, it's two women living life to it's fullest. Along the way the FMC finds love and inspiration for her latest novel and realizes the joys of saying yes to living.

The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower - I don't know about you, but I feel like everyone is talking about this book series. I've heard so many people rave about it ... but I've also heard you have to "get through" the first two books which is why I haven't picked them up yet. If you're looking for endless days/months of books to read, this sounds like it would be a great series to start. Many people say these are like Jane Austen style books so if you're a fan of those, check out this series next.

Hope you find a new book to enjoy!
